We've been getting a lot of letters and e-mail asking "who is this Paige Turner? Is she a real person?" Somehow she has generated fans with a loyalty rivaling Deadheads and, although Paige is a very private person, we are forced to tell a little about her.
She is a real person that eats and sleeps like everybody else. Paige writes reviews, articles, some of the un-bylined leads, and edits our "Roar of the Crowd" section. She has cultivated a purposely abstruse, orotund style of writing approaching pleonasm that has captured the fancy of thousands of our readers. Paige guards her privacy and hopes that her e-mail address never appears in The Email Addresses of the Rich and Famous.
You can however, reach her at pturner@WebDevelopersJournal.com. Put "Paige" in the subject line for quick response.
Paige lives in middle America, has an advanced computer-related degree and is acutely interested in the future directions of digital technology and emerging cyber/social trends. She is, unfortunately, almost too much of a geek.
Emerging from several years of developing the WeeNIX operating system, she occasionally finds herself writing using only 1s and 0s. Her young and attractive appearance (see photo, above) belies her geekiness and causes computer jocks who have just met her to exclaim things like "Wow, all that and a nerd too!"
It's true. She's painfully nerdish, beautiful (don't think she's a pushover, though - she'll bop you on the beak if you get smart), and a star reporter for The Web Developer's Journal.
